Daniel this ones for you!
Those who know me personally know that my political views lie somewhere between conservative and libertarian. (With some exceptions as is the case with everyone I think.) So as you can imagine I’m greatly dissatisfied the current crop of candidates.
I decided to start examining some of the smaller parties out there, since I think this could be the first time since 1860 that a third party could take the white house.
I began by doing a little research on the libertarian candidates and low and behold a lot of libertarian voters are just as ticked off with their candidates as every other party out there is with theirs.
Just Google the name Wayne Allen Root. He’s the current leader in the libertarian race. However if you Google the name you’ll discover a lot of libertarians are irate because the guy’s not libertarian enough. (which for me is appealing.)
When even the libertarians are dissatisfied with their candidate you know this country has a unity problem. I mean seriously, groups of like thinking people are fighting amongst themselves on who should be their candidate and what their platform ought to be.
We saw it with the Huckabee, Romney, and McCain dust up. We’re seeing it now with the Obama/Clinton ultimate fighting match and I guess even libertarians are having unity problems as well. I don’t know what to make of it yet, but I am concerned.
If this country falls to the Jihadists, or to any other foreign group it will be because we were to busy fighting and blaming each other.
