People of the World, I Have Returned

A new name and a year later and I'm back. This past year has truly been an enlightning one. I spent 4 months in the Holy Land studying the Bible, ancient history, modern geography, a history of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, soccer, culture and business. I did not take classes in soccer, culture or business, but the trip did teach me a lot about these subjects none the less. Since I've been back I got busy with school and with my reading. For those who don't know me very well I'm an avid reader of historical non-fiction.

Just a random side note, I'm not one for fiction, with the exception of Ayn Rand. I had some friends who tried to get me hooked on the Harry Potter books. I got to book four and wound up reading the book O Jerusalem instead. I enjoyed the Harry Potter books, they are very well written, but what can I say I'm a bonafide geek.

I just finished the book Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand, perhaps my favorite fiction book of all time, and I’m trying to finish up reading the Federalist Papers and then finish the book 1776. (Hopefully I’ll be done with both of these books by the end of the month.)

As you can see I changed the name of the website. The title of this website is taken from the last line in the movie Tora Tora Tora, which as any history major may or may not know is believed to be a total fictional line. But hey, I like it anyway so it's the new name of the blog.
